Jethro Tull: Fat Man
These guys even played with Fela Kuti. How cool is that!
Fela Kuti: Sorrow Tears & Blood
Never heard of Fela? It's certainly not for rednecks however I've rarely met a civilized person in my age group who doesn't care for a spot of Afrobeat once in a while.
Booker White: Aberdeen Mississippi Blues
I love this guy's style.
Son House: Death Letter
If your a White Stripes fan then I guess you know this one... Son House was a great blues man.
John Lee Hooker: Hobo Blues
Some great vintage material...
Freddie King: Big Leg Woman
One of my all time favorite blues songs from one of my all time favorite blues performers.
Bob Marley: Catch a Fire, Get Up Stand Up
A pity this guys is no longer around. Look closely at these guys; especially Peter Tosh. I think they might have been smoking some whakey weed... Naaah, ya think!
The Pogues: Dirty Old Town
The drunker you are the better it sounds.
John Frusciante: Dying Song
This guy is pure emotion.
Peter Tosh: Bush Doctor
Legalize the herb!
Caetano Veloso: Cucurrucucu Paloma
Every guy needs a couple songs like this to whip out at just the right moment when he's got a new chick.

The Velvet Underground: Sweet Jane
On a lot of Lou Reed's music it sounds like he is trying hard to destroy any melody so that it's impossible to simply relax and enjoy. You can actually make it through the entire song on this version.
King Tubby Righteous Dub
I love dub and this guy is one of the all time best.
Jimi Hendrix: All Along The Watchtower
This man requires no introduction
Pentangle: Reflection
A lot of people find their music tatty and difficult to listen to. I like it.
Cannonball Adderley Sextet: Work Song
These guys played in several different constellations with some of the best jazz musicians of the day. This is just one of the many songs in their huge repertoire.
Charlie Mingus & Eric Dolphy in Oslo
Video footage of this era of jazz music seems to be rare in the US. Almost everything I found so far is recorded in Europe. Maybe it wasn't "white" enough for the day.
Charlie Parker & Dizzy Gillespie
These guys also played with Cannonball Adderley. Here they are on their own.
The Cure: The Blood
Some rehearsal footage. I think I was in nursery school when they did this. Very progressive for the time.
Led Zeppelin: Dazed and Confused
Jimmy Page doing his famous violin guitar thingy. The sound isn't that great but I still think it's pretty cool.
