In Defense of Food
This is the new Michael Pollan book. If you haven't already read "Omnivore's Dilemma," I can't recommend it book strongly enough. You don't need to read it to enjoy or benefit from "In Defense of Food" although they do complement each other rather nicely.
Beyond the content of the book, which is super, I love his writing style. Informative, persuasive, enlightening yet not preachy. Like Omnivore's Dilemma, this book is chock full of passages that you will want to read out loud to someone else. Bystanders beware!

Melogold Grapefruit
These large bright yellow fruits are mostly like grapefruits except they are more fragrant and have slight lemony flavor to them. Just had one today and have been talking about it for half an hour. Delicious
