Where Eagles Dare
Clint Eastwood infiltrates a nazi fortress in the mountains
Kellys Heroes
Mr Eastwood again. Maybe this should be an Eastwood list.
Patton
Judgement at Nuremberg
Paths of Glory
uh oh WW1 but who cares?
When Trumpets Fade
This movie is pretty intense.
Das Boot
The most kick ass submarine movie ever
All Quiet on the Western Front
The book is better
Downfall
By far the best recent WW2 movie
Letters from Iwo Jima
I thought Flags of our Fathers was pretty good till I saw this one.
Tora! Tora! Tora!
Seriously one of the greatest epics ever. Plus historically accurate and without the stupid love sub plot of "Pearl Harbour"
Guns of Navarone
classic
Sands of Iwo Jima
Cant stand John Wayne but this is also a classic
Below
This is a really scary submarine classic
Hell in the Pacific
The Young Lions
Marlon brando plays a Nazi officer and Montgomery Clift and Dean Martin co-star as Americans
Bridge on the River Kwai
This is actually one of my favorites starring William Holden and Alec Guiness
Days of Glory (Indigenes)
This is my new favorite WW2 movie. Everyone needs to go out and get this. Colonized French Algerians are recruited to rescue their "fatherland" (France) from Nazi occupation but end up facing extreme prejudice. Great characters and story and really beautifully done.
