Supernatural
Two gorgeous brothers, 1 hot classic car, a classic rock soundtrack and more scares than a Rob Zombie movie! It's Supernatural! Dean and Sam Winchester have spent their lives hunting those things that go bump in the night and they're damned good at. Trouble is, all that angst and family stuff keeps getting in the way. Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki star in this weekly mini-horror movie with clever scripts, just the right amount of comedy and fabulous performances. Thursdays at 9 on The CW.

Sure the main character is a high school football coach and yes, half the cast is on the team, but this heart-wrenching tale of life in a small town is like nothing else on TV. Filmed hand-held style, FNL makes you feel like you're right there when Jason's paralyzed, Julie contemplates giving up her virginity and Coach makes the decision that will change his life forever. Watch it once and you'll come back for more. Fridays at 9 on NBC

This dark and sexy Dr. Who spin off has crossed the ocean and now airs on BBCAmerica on Saturdays. Captain Jack Harkness is an omni-sexual alien hunter with a secret. He and his team of quirky characters hunt down aliens who have slipped in through a rift and harvest the technology to prepare for a coming war. It's scary, it's dark and sexually charged. Charlie Epps is a math genius and he uses his skills to help his FBI agent brother Don crack cases that range from terrorism, to kidnapping and murder. It's an action packed series that is a step away from the norm due to the smart and sophisticated premise and the familial relationship that makes the brothers tick.
