i'm very anti-oprah. i feel like she gets all of this credit for doing amazing things, but it's not HER. it's her giantic brand and cross-promotion. oprah did not buy her audience members cars. pontiac donated them. phooey.
So right, Kelly. The scary thing is how much power she has. People don't realize that the person they see is just another TV character. They all have their persona.
Man, except for the stripper ads, which we don't have here, this could be my list. Of course, I'd have to ad Alan "I'm so freaking sensitive I should be a woman" Alda, and Helen "I won an oscar so I must be talented" Hunt. I mean, who'd have seen that movie if Jack wasn't in it?
