Introduction
Don't get too fond of any of these. I predict they'll be gone soon enough.
1
Life
I like Damian Lewis (Band of Brothers) and Sarah Shahi (Alias, The L Word), but take away the backstory of the cop who was wrongly convicted and spent years in jail, and you're left with a basic, forgettable case-of-the-week cop story. It's also in a bad time slot.
2
Private Practice
Are the TV writers already on strike? A great cast wasted with awful writing.
3
Chuck
Another gimmicky premise that will wear thin, as will the new hottie who plays Sarah. Beyond that, it's just a "caper of the week" show like Alias, but with silly jokes and less likeable characters.
4
Reaper
A good show that has the misfortune of airing on a crap network (The CW).
5
The Bionic Woman
I couldn't make it through one episode, and I even liked the original.
The future is grim... but it's better than any reality show.

I agree with all of these. I'm disappointed in Chuck and Private Practice as I'd hoped for better. And, yes, Raant is correct it that they are all better than any reality (him) or game(me) show.

I agree with you both. I cannot stand reality shows.

Hmmmm......I must not watch enough TV, I haven't seen any of these shows. I haven't seen any of the ones on Norm's list either. lol

I have seen only one of these and I agree.
NO. 3 will be chucked.

I've been watching "Reaper" and I really like it...a sure sign that it will be cancelled. Dammit. Soon to be gone, like "The Loop" (funnnnnyyy - only one short season) and "Studio 60" (I think this was too clever for the Neilsen families...it didn't have a laugh track, so they weren't sure what was supposed to be humorous.
"Dead Like Me"...another great cancelled show.
*sigh*
The rest of the shows on your list...I don't watch them :)

Jen, you're right. The best shows never make it. Freaks & Geeks is a great example. Boomtown. Hidden Hills.
And then lame crap like According To Jim becomes a hit. Boy are we stupid.

i think another horrible show that is doomed is "Cavemen". After all, it IS based on a commercial.

Ertryder - let's hope. That show is absolutely unwatchable. Even the commercials were old hat a year or two ago.

Even if I had watched any of these shows, I'd be too embarrassed to admit it. Cavemen? Dincha know without watching it was gonna blow? If they had to make a commercial into a show, I'd have preferred the gecko, or even the aflac duck.

I watch the first ep of almost every new show, Ol' Hippie.

Dead Like Me was a great show. We bought the DVD's so we can keep watching.
Another disappointment was the Women's Murder Club based on James Patterson's books. Books are good - show, not so much.
