Introduction
It's 12:24 in the A.M. and I'm happily watching "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" and I'm so craving a really good diner breakfast. So, I thought I'd make a new list of my favorite shows on the Food Network. (Oooh...another episode just started!!)
Keep in mind, I do NOT cook. Or bake. But, I do love to watch other people do it.
1
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives
Hosted by Guy Fieri who's like a rock star in the food business. I want to hang out with this guy. He's not pretentious, he's got a great sense of humor and he likes good diner food. That's my kind of man.
And who doesn't like a good, comfy, down-home type meal?
PS...I've decided that I now have a bit of a crush on Guy Fieri. (He drives a sweet ride, too.)

2
Unwrapped
Dude. Marc Summers. Double Dare.
The show is so kitschy. Who doesn't want to learn how Chee-tos are made?

3
Iron Chef (Japan)
First off, the American version sucks.
Now that that's out of the way, the original Iron Chef is a classic. Chairman Kaga? Awesome.

4
30 Minute Meals
I know, I know...she's kind of annoying, but I've realized that I could watch someone dicing up pretty much anything for hours on end. I'm not sure if I find it relaxing or just kind of mesmerizing, but hell, if I can't stop watching.

5
Food Finds
This show always has such amazingly, delicious food things that you'd never hear of otherwise. i.e. Reed's Ginger Brew/Ice Cream

you've got to watch "Jamie at Home" with Jamie Oliver, AKA The Naked Chef. It's my new favorite show.

I wish one of these people (any one of them!) was out in my kitchen right now cooking up something. I'm hungry, it's supper time, and I have no idea what we are having tonight. :-) Great list!

Great list.
I noticed these on the TV "guide" after reading this. The next step will be to watch them....and maybe cook?

The Hubband watches all of the above; Good Eats with Alton Brown is one of his faves because Alton gets into the science of cooking and Bobby Flay's ThrowDown! because he likes to see real people beat out the pro.
What's the one where the really cute chef goes into a grocery store and finds a lady putting together a meal for her main man, then he helps her cook the meal? That's kind of fun.
Food Network has one called "How to Boil Water"; I haven't watched it yet - but I plan to some day. Just in case my cook goes on strike.
Oh, and my entire family agrees that Giatta doesn't eat anything she cooks.

Love love love the Food Network and love Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Love all you listed except I do prefer Iron Chef America over the original, simply because the ingredients arn't gross. I love to cook and have learned alot watching various shows. I did a reduction on the 4th of July. My first and it was wonderful. I actually have episodes of Good Eats recorded for reference. A must have channel for any foodie.
