Introduction
These are the show I love to watch that depict real life; as opposed to The Real World in wherever, which so isn't real.
1
Dirty Jobs
Gotta love Mike Rowe, it seems as though there is nothing he won't tackle.
2
Good Eats
Alton Brown is my favorite of all the cooks gracing our air waves. He is funny and I like the bits of information tossed in. Not that I cook any of his suggestions; but the Hubband does.
3
Dog Whisperer
Watching Cesar "sshst" at all of those dogs is a trip. It's great seeing him train all of those owners who think they have a fractious dog when all of the time it's their own fault.
4
House Hunters
Buyers with a pre-determined wish list consider three homes while the viewer tries to guess which they will select. The best part is seeing what a great deal we have in middle America for our house.
No good youtube thingy.

Design on a Dime
I don't really watch this often, but enjoy it when I catch it at my friend's house.
Skip the first 90 seconds, it's a commercial.

6
Biography on A & E
Love history and history about people.
7
MythBusters
The best for last. I love this show; they blow things up, crash stuff, and just make a mess while proving or disproving common myths or urban legends.
My sons love MythBusters just BECAUSe of all the mess making and blowing up of things, I think. The guys on that show always act like they are having the most fun in the world. They must really love their jobs! Nice list. :)

Make sure your husband knows about http://www.goodeatsfanpage.com. It's got complete transcripts of every Good Eats episode, sources for some of Alton's best-known gadgets, links to recipes, and fun stuff like jokes and trivia.
