Introduction
I love this show. I am a big fan. But sometimes the host, Bear Grylls says words differently than I do.
Granted, I am from the South. Here is a list I am trying not to obsess over.
1
word: algae
pronounced: al-gey (rhymes with key)
2
word: glaciers
pronounced: glassy-iers
3
word: testimoney
pronounced: testi-money
4
word: bananas
pronounced: bah-nah-nahs

Quote From the Show
"Urine is actually 95% water and is sterile when fresh." - Bear Grylls upon running short of water in the Australian outback and reduced to drinking his own pee for hydration.
accents are great.
Bill Simmons recently made a list of funny Canadian pronunciations while watching the NHL draft. Maybe I'll make it a list too giving credit to Mr Simmons of course.
8. Process ("PROH-cess")
7. Against (a-GAY-anst")
6. Go ("goo")
5. Organization ("or-gan--EYE-zah-SHUN")
4. Handicap ("han-dee-cupp")
3. About ("ah-boot")
2. Franchise ("frayn-ch-EYE-zzze")
1. Kudos ("coooooooo-dooooooooooze")

Did you see this story today:

Seems he stayed in motels. Feet of clay, oh God, who's next. First Paris, the Lindsey, and now Grylls.

So, was he really drinking his urine or weak tea from the Holiday Inn? But, I guess the point is the pronunciation of the words, not the content of the show.
