Why I don't care about Austin

Introduction
If you want to be proud of your city - make a real list. There are several good examples on OML.
1
Triple A
I belong to Triple A and can get lots of good info about any area I plan to visit.
2
Research
It's always a good idea to research before traveling. That would include using internet sites. Because I am an OML fan that is one of the places I would look.
3
Merge
Since my time is limited, one list that combines all of the great things about a place would catch my attention opposed to a dozen lists with links.
4
Personalization
It is so much better to have someone's insight about an area or event than just a link with the promotional information. Include that too as there is a place for it.
5
Liar
Ok, I lied, it's not that I don't care about Austin, I actually wouldn't mind visiting there - it's just that these kinds of entries annoy me when so much more can be done with OML.
6
Apology
Ok, I realize this is a little harsh. I created it early this morning before coffee time. So I'm sorry for being bitchy. However, I still feel that people would pay more attention to what you are promoting if you put a little more effort into it. So please accept my apology for my harshness and consider a real list.
There is a place in Austin that you can go and see BATS come out of a cave at the same time each nite...

Hi Pam, I tried to comment on this earlier, but then it disappeared.
I agree that I would be more interested in visiting someplace that I read about on a travel list if the list has more information, photos, and personal commentary from someone who has been there instead of just a link to go to another site.
Did you get to go to South Dakota? I'd love to hear about your trip, if you did. Maybe you could make it into a list for OML? I hope your summer is going well. :)
