Introduction

Ahh the age of computers, here is a short list.

1

Commodore Amiga 500

This baby was awesome for the day. 1 meg of ram and no hard drive. I was editing video! Not possible? think again, this machine was fantastic. Too bad they suffered from poor management, and oh yeah Microsoft.
2

Apple Mac Classic

My first mac, i loved it, doing Aldus Pagemaker on it drove me insane. It was so slow!
3

Apple Quadra 650?

I think that's what is was called. I loved this machine. Served me well for a few years, and until recently was still kicking. (sold to a family member).
4

Apple G3

I don't remember the full name of this machine. Again I liked it but it was being outclassed by similar PC systems on price and performance.
5

DELL Pentium 3 Dual Processors Optiplex

Affectionally known as the HAMMR. This machine was still running until last year! Thing was fast and very cheap (under $1000). Ran great for almost 7 years. Father Inlaw still has it somewhere.
6

DELL Latitude C500

An old Laptop my Daughter Uses. Put Ubuntu on it. Works ok, but sluggish.
7

DELL Latitude C-840

Still using this after 5 years, I think I got it in 2002. I use this today! plenty of power for Web Dev, surfing and email.

DELL D-800

I use this for more Development. Great machine never had any problems in the 3 years I have owned it. Except for the time my Daughter poured water all over the LCD trying to "Fill it Up".

No Name Trash Dumpster Rescue - FRYs?

i think it's a P4. I was helping out a neighbor with a fired Hard Drive. It was fried, I told him to get another drive then we could re-install the OS. He opted to just by another computer and was going to trash it. I took it from him. It is now my Daughters 2nd computer. Works great!
10

DELL Inspiron 600 Media Center

I use this for my Main Office computer. Cheap as hell, 4 gigs of ram, Media Center which powers 3 media extenders. Thing is awesome, quiet and a work horse. Never had a problem with it. We can watch TV on three separate TV's and record 2 channels at the same time. I am impressed with this thing.
