Introduction
Over the years there have been very few successful left-handed quarterbacks. Some of it probably has to do with football coaches being more familiar with right-handed quarterbacks, and some of it has to do with left-handed throwers being more inclined to become pitchers. However, there have been some left-handed quarterbacks that have done quite well in the NFL.
1
Steve Young
Steve Young starts us off by virute of being the only Hall of Fame left-handed quarterback. He also was selected to 7 pro bowls. Some of his career passing stats are: 33,124 yards, 232 TD's, 107 INT's and 64.3% completion percentage. Overall, Young is probably the most successful left-handed quarterback to play in the NFL.
2
Boomer Esiason
Boomer checks in next because of his statistics. He was selected to 4 pro bowls, and his final passing stats were: 37,920 yards, 247 TD's, 184 INT's and 57% completion percentage.
3
Mark Brunell
Brunell has racked up some impressive stats as a left-handed quarterback, and he's still an active player in the NFL. He's been selected to 4 pro bowls, and his passing stats are: 31,826 yards, 182 TD's, 106 INT's and 59.6% completion percentage.
4
Ken Stabler
"The Snake" amassed a ton of yards through the air, and was selected to 4 pro bowls. His career passing stats were: 27,938 yards, 194 TD's, 222 INT's and 59.8% completion percentage.

5
Jim Zorn
Zorn might not be one of the more well known left-handed quarterbacks, but he still put up some good stats throughout his career. His passing numbers were: 21,115 yards, 111 TD's, 141 INT's and 53% completion percentage.
6
Frankie Albert
Albert was a pioneering left-handed quarterback, entering the league in 1950. He was selected to 1 pro bowl, and his career stats were: 3,847 yards, 27 TD's, 43 INT's and 52.6% completion percentage.
7
Bobby Douglass
Douglass is another not-so-well-known left-handed quarterback, but he was a southpaw nonetheless. His career numbers were: 6,493 yards, 36 TD's, 64 INT's and 43% completion precentage.

8
Chris Simms
Simms is a relatively new left-handed NFL quarterback, and his recent injury problems have hampered his statistics. Hopefully he'll be able to battle back, and improve on his numbers. His stats so far are: 3,087 yards, 12 TD's, 17 INT's and 59.1% completion percentage.
9
Michael Vick
Vick drops to the bottom of the list due to his involvement with dog fighting, and his indefinite suspension from the NFL. He's had moderate success as a left-handed quarterback, and has been selected to 3 pro bowls. However, it appears that any chance to improve on these numbers might be gone. His career stats are: 11,505 yards, 71 TD's, 52 INT's and 53.8% completion percentage.
