Introduction

My husband is an over the top Chicago Cubs fan and I'm an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan (picture that at Wrigley Field or Busch Stadium). But I can't help but feel a little sorry for him. So I've decided that this just might be the time to cheer for the Cubbies and wish them the best. Reasons why I feel the Cubbies deserve to win the World Series:

1

1908

chicago.cubs.mlb.com/index.jsp?c_id=chc

It has been 99 years of strong tradition for the Cubs to NOT win a World Series!
Since the Cardinal's have outdone the Cub's 10 to 2 in National Championships I feel that it is time to share just one year of glory with the Cub fan of the house.

Wrigleyville

They do have a great ballpark! Wouldn't it be exciting to see a World Series at Wrigley Field in our lifetime?

CUBS-Completely Useless By September

I don't necessarily really think this is what CUBS stands for....but one has to wonder after 99 years. Let's make them USEFUL in September and October!

Wait Until Next Year

"99 years of hope and heartbreak...Cubs fans still dream of being champions". I didn't actually know this was a HBO movie...I thought it was something my husband just said year after year! Geez....these Cubbies really need to win a Championship!

Maybe They'll Stop Throwing Trash On Their Own Field

How many times this year have they trashed their own field? That is such an embarassment to true Cub fan!

I'll be in Chicago during the playoffs

I'll be running the Chicago Marathon in October and would love to catch a playoff game. Wouldn't be hard to talk my husband into paying $$$$ for those tickets.

My hubby would be so HAPPY!

My husband, born and raised on the north side of Chicago, would love to see the Cub's win and I guess (sigh)...that would make me happy too! Go Cardinal's! And Cubbies.....stop the tradition!

NEVER??? Who knew?
Well, here's hoping.
By the law of probability, each year means their chances of winning the title is a little better!

I'm going to print this for my hubband; also an avid Cubs fan and an even more avid Bears fan. Thanks, HeatherL

Being a fellow Cards fan, I can say that this year would be fine to share some glory with the Cubs, since the Cards have been pretty useless lately and probably won't go too far.

O.K. VI Wyrschowski are we still thinking that the Card's won't win it? I've had to retract my support for the Cubbies in the last few days. My husband is going to Chicago tomorrow for a game and I have to cheer for the Brewer's now! Seems like the Card's have turned into their late season selves again (I call them a fourth quarter team) and well....is their a chance? Go CARDINALS!!! ;) GO CARDINALS!!!!! GO REDBIRDS! TAKE A RIDE ON THAT ONE!
