why don't you just go ahead and say "it's not my problem," which is what you really mean.

if you really don't know what to say, than shut the hell up and don't say anything at all. i don't need to be told the obvious.

it translates to "i don't give a shit." nice.
i just wrote a comment on superstarbrandcompany's list about not liking people with an authority complex. they use this phrase all the time.
i never know how to react to these people either. i just say "fine" and then think of a brilliant rebuttal two hours later.
