In Bizzaro Bush world, the only thing more dangerous than Iran with nukes, is.......Iran without nukes.

Introduction

I posted this list in October when our lunatic delusional "leader" threatened Iran with World War III. It garnered 74 hits. A few days ago, it comes out that we've known since at least last Spring that Iran has had NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS PROGRAM SINCE 2003!!!!!!

So, we should be relieved, right? Certainly not! According to the lunatic in chief, Iran is more dangerous than ever. Why? Because they MIGHT start a nuclear weapons program; they MIGHT figure out how to enrich uranium; then they MIGHT give that knowledge to _____________ (insert the name of the boogey man of your choice); then ___________ might use that knowledge against us.

Yeah, and my next door neighbor MIGHT buy 32 pit bulls and Rottweilers, and they MIGHT chew my face off. So I'm thinking I better kill him when I get home from Pittsburgh (where it was 9 freakin degrees this morning.)

At any rate, I thought I'd put this list back up and see if any of you young hipsters are paying attention.

I love Keith Olbermann! He says what we should all be saying.

10/20/07: What he doesn't know can hurt us.

Diplomacy is an art that has been developed over the past 1000 years. There are rules. The White House has a Director of Protocol; that is how important it is. Diplomatic language is not like normal language. Every word, pause, and inflection is analyzed. A true world leader is careful what he says. He does not back himself into a corner. He treats other leaders with respect; he does not rub the shoulders of the Prime Minister of Germany. He does not give them cute nick names, and if he does, only he and his wife know what they are. He does not disrespect his cabinet by calling his Secretary of State "Condi" in a speech at the UN. When they are alone and she is wearing the latex cat suit, the mask, the whip, and the 6 inch stiletto heels, and he is on his knees in a dog collar, he can call her whatever he wants. In public; ought to stick with Dr. Rice, Secretary Rice, or Madame Secretary.

10/20/07: George Bush, uniter, not divider.

Bush has united the world against us. He is so outrageously stupid that all a foreign despot has to do is bad mouth Bush, and their support at home soars.

Hugo Chávez was not overly popular in Venezuela until he went to the UN and said of Bush, "The devil came here yesterday, and it smells of sulfur still today." His popularity in Venezuela soared.

When Putin started responding to Bush's outrageous plans for a missile defense system in Eastern Europe, his approval ratings in Russia climbed to 70%. Bush made Russia a player once again.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wasn't popular in Iran until he stood up to George Bush. He is forging alliances with both Russia and Venezuela; using the old "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" model.

All three of these boneheads are wildly popular due to their shared hatred of George W. Bush. We could probably whip any one of them if necessary, but they are close to signing mutual defense pacts.

Want a real "coalition of the willing?" Pick a fight with Bush, and everyone is on your side.

10/21/07: Bush says he wants peace in Iraq, but his actions say otherwise.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lf0G-G0mWvw

In the YouTube clip, George Bush says again and again that he believes a central government in Iraq is possible. He talks about a democratic government, and oil revenue sharing among the provinces.

However, at the time he was making these statements, his good friend and major campaign contributor Ray Hunt of Hunt Oil in Dallas, with the approval of the U.S. State Department, was signing a revenue sharing oil deal with the Kurdistan Regional Government.

Bush is counting on the fact (there is no other explanation) that such an agreement virtually guarantees that there will never be a central government in Iraq, unless peaceful and prosperous Kurdistan decides to give away two thirds of their oil revenues to the Shias and the Sunnis.

Think about it; so far this war has paid off to the tune of over $150 billion to Bush and Cheney's cronies. If the war ends, so does the gravy train for the administration's friends.

There is no downside for Bush and Cheney; they can't run again anyway, and our armed forces are all volunteer, so no one important is being killed. Everybody wins, except the poor people and minorities who actually fight the war.

"Water boarding is not torture! But, just to be on the safe side, let's destroy the evidence.

After being ordered by the 9/11 investigating committee to preserve any and all documents, regardless of their format, relating to terrorism, the attacks, and the Gunatanammo detainees, the Bush administration, once again thumbs it's nose at the law and destroys evidence, by shredding the tapes of the "enhanced interrogation tecnique" of waterboarding.

You might also including the ever menacing Putin. His remarks yesterday were quite alarming.
Noahplaid_thumb Noahposted 397 days ago
I agree Noah. Putin is either backing Iran or he wants to flex Moscow's power and stand up to the Americans. Or both. It's no secret that your military is stretched a little thin right now, taking on Russia right now isn't really an option.

Can we survive the next year and change with Bush as president? Recently I have have gone from anger to anger with some twinges of real fear. It may take decades to unravel this mess.

Both.

I was going to make a list about this exact thing. I am truly baffled that this administration, even after the Iraq debacle, was not cautious about its use of intelligence. Iran may very well be developing biological weapons. It might start a secret nuclear program tomorrow BUT to know that we don't have any evidence to support that and ratchet up tensions in an already volatile reason is just absolutely beyond me. I am flabbergasted.
Noahplaid_thumb Noahposted 348 days ago
I meant region- not reason
Noahplaid_thumb Noahposted 348 days ago
Yes, he is indeed, quite insane. The good news is that I believe he has now been exposed to even the hard core right wing as a fool, who cannot be believed on virtually any subject.

Yikes.

You're an idiot. You mention three rulers from three countries that have no love of America to begin with. Why didn't you mention the fact that France, Germany, England and Australia have elected conservatives that like America to head their countries. How can anyone like Keith Olbermann. He leans so far to the left that the only thing holding him up is the fact that his head is so full of hot air. His worst person segment is always about republicans or anyone who says anything bad about a liberal. He has never once named a terrorist or a dictator as his worst person. I wonder why. Maybe because all liberals are starting to follow moveon.org and 1)Bash Bush, 2)Bash America, and 3)Bash the military. By the way, have you ever noticed that whenever there is a riot or threats made at a protest, they are started by liberals. You have real anger issues dude.
Empty_profile mjo60posted 344 days ago
mjo60, you must get your news from Fox. It is true that the liberals are getting quite irate in their protests, but given the amount of time the current President has been in office and the poor decisions, idiotic rhetoric and lies that spew from his mouth on a seemingly daily basis.... it is deserved.
Andrewsimpsonize22_thumb RAANTposted 344 days ago
My oh my, a new right wing stooge to humiliate and degrade; Christmas came early this year. Now normally, mojo, I'd send a response your way that would leave you figuratively bleeding from every bodily orifice, but several of the more gentle listers have inspired the Ol Hippie to change; so I'm not going to call you a pusillanimous pyramid of putrid pig poop (illiteration, lulu, another great word), I'll just call your attention to the fact that I did indeed refer to Messrs.Chávez, Putin, and Ahmadinejad as boneheads. But, in fairness, I must point out that none of these desopts, has invaded another soveriegn nation in a war of choice. The fact that one's philosophical enemies are delusional, lying assholes preying on the fears of their citizens, to consolidste their own power and allow their cronies to sack the National Treasury, does not excuse these activities by our President.

I watch Keith Olbermann because he is funny, spot on and agrees with me. I also listen to Limbaugh, Hannity, and Savage in my car, because they are funny, and don't agree with me. Like most right wing men you seem to be afraid to even listen to the other side, and have replaced your tiny brain with a simulcast transmitter that spews the appropriate propaganda, without a thought as to whetehr it makes sense, or is true.

I have never bashed America, or our troops. Unlike you, I understand that if you do love America, and don't think with your dick, you must oppose Bush's trampling of the Constitution, and his betrayal of our troops. He pays them $1,600.00 per month to fight in his war of choice, and then vetos increases in pay and veterans benefits for them, while paying KBR/Haliburton, and Blackwater "consultants" $10,000.00 per month for less hazardous duty. He blows 40% of the total military budget (half a trillion dollars, so far) on "consultants" and discharges soldiers with TBIs without benefits, as havging pre-existing personality disorders, and then bills them for their enlistment bonus. I know you must support that. If telling the truth is bashing Bush, you can bet your ignorant ass I'll bash him. And if you got your news from anyplace but nut job radio, so would you.

Finally, I have probably been on the streets of Washington, DC making my feelings known, at least 25 times since the 60s. I have never thrown a rock, or fruit at anyone, I have never, to my knowledge, broken a law while exercising my right to free speech. But I have been called countless names, threatened, and hit by flying objects, hurled by Neandrathals like you.

You want to debate me? Bring it on dickwad, but you better do better than this, "you suck, Keith Olbermann sucks, all liberals suck" bullshit. Anger issues? You have niether the brains nor the intellectual ammunition to anger me. I'll just slap you around for a while and then loose interest.

Stop it, Raant! Just say no, at least until your BP is stable. Do not read these or reply. I'm saying this for your own good. Now I sound just like the mom I am.

Oh, man; poor mjo60 doesn't know what he has unleashed. Stop now, while you are still in one piece. Nothing good for you can come from taking on Ol' Hippie. The rest of us will be entertained; but you will suffer. Take it from one who knows. He is highly intelligent, very well read, totally committed to his views and will tear you a new one. I have not seen any one yet who can take him on and win; because most of us do not spend the time to become as knowledgeable as he is. I'm sure that there must be some things on which he is mis-guided; however, I have not spent the time or energy to dig around in newspapers, magazines and the internet to get enough info to debate him. And he seems to like dogs. That is important in my world.
Pam-oml-avatar-2_thumb Pamposted 343 days ago
You’re funny!!! On top of being another left wing, moveon.org, George Soros liberal, you’re a comedian and a psychic. First of all, it’s not mojo . Learn to read.

Just because I don’t agree with your liberal viewpoint, don’t assume that I don’t listen to both sides. I don’t like Keith Olbermann because he just spews bile from his mouth on a regular basis hoping to rile up the left even more than they already are. He really never says anything of substance. And even though I don’t like Hannity and Limbaugh, they at least get it right on occasion. I do watch CNN, MSNBC and FOXNews. I read and listen to Al Franken, Chris Mathews, Mike Savage, Don Imus, Al Sharpton and just for laughs, Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert. At least I know that the last two are actually trying to be funny.

As far as the military goes, I served for 11 years and would serve again if I could. I actually work on a military post serving the military. Every soldier doing his duty deserves respect, not derision from people like John Murtha (and yes, I know he served in the Marines and I respect that). I take offense to your words “our armed forces are all volunteer, so no one important is being killed.” I know that you are attempting to be sarcastic, but it is not funny. And your claim that only the “poor people and minorities” are actually fighting the war is just another lie from the left. Most military members are middle class and white. Minorities make up only less than 40% of the army. Are you saying that minorities and poor people shouldn’t be allowed to join the military if they wish? And since, as you pointed out, the military is voluntary, nobody forces them to join. Nobody twisted my arm to join and I was proud to serve.

People like you continue to be one sided in your views. I have voted for democrats and republicans. I listen to both sides and make my own decisions. I don’t let someone from the far left or the far right tell me what to think. Both sides have their own corrupt and sleazy individuals. I will at least admit that much. Will you? If not, then you are an even bigger idiot than I thought. Besides, why do you care what President Bush does, he is gone next year and Clinton will be in office. That in itself should make you happy.

Why don’t you take jarroyo’s advise and let your blood pressure go down before you start reading these posts again.

PS. Pat, I'll take your advice and not debate him any longer. He may be as intelligent and well read as you say, so there is no need to debate him. He already knows it all and you can't teach an old dog new tricks. He'll come back at me and make his personal attacks and all his cronies that read his comments will tell him just how great he is which will just encourage him more. I'm done with him. All he can do is Bash Bush, Bash America and Bash the Military. We don't need anymore of that.

Whoa, it would be fun to get you two in the same room together.
I fear mjo60 may have just let loose a firestorm.
Pam-oml-avatar-2_thumb Pamposted 342 days ago
Well mojo, breaks down like this, I wouldn’t have attacked you had you not started your first comment, on your first day, by calling me an idiot. I am proud to be a liberal (look it up if you own a dictionary), and much of your characterization of me may or may not be true, but that is irrelevant; the list was not about me, it was about George W. Bush, and every word was true. But of course you didn’t dispute that, you couldn’t. Apparently you are comfortable criticizing anyone who disagrees with you, and surely agree with the President you so ineptly try to defend that we are “emboldening the terrorists,” or bashing America, but when I point out that Bush’s lack of a coherent foreign policy has made heroes of Chávez, Putin, and Ahmadinejad, your only retort is to accuse me of; what….bashing the United States? It wasn’t really clear. So, let me be perfectly clear here, I love my country, and I have never bashed my country. I have traveled around the world, and understand how fortunate we are to have this country. But George Bush is NOT this country; his lies are well documented, and his ignorance of the Constitution, the law, and history should be obvious, even to you. So tell me, eleven year veteran (thank you for your service), what were you fighting for those eleven years? Were you fighting for Bush’s right to unilaterally wave habeas corpus in direct violation of Article 1, Section 9 of the Constitution, which says, “The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.”? Based on your vast knowledge of Constitutional Law, give me any interpretation that makes it okay for Bush to suspend this basic right. The Constitution also says, “No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.” In case you don’t know, that means that neither the Federal nor any State Government can declare a person or group of persons guilty of some crime and punish them without benefit of a trial. Yet Bush decides that he can pick up American citizens from their homes and hold them at Guantanamo Bay without charges for as long as he wants. How is that okay, Mr. Patriot? So far, 420 of the 755 detainees have been released without charges being filed. In fact, I believe that fewer than five have been charged with anything; one of those a marginally retarded guy who tried to set his shoe on fire with a match. Oohhh scary.

So Olbermann spews bile, and never says anything of substance, while Limbaugh and Fox News occasionally tell the truth? What, exactly, did Keith Olbermann say that wasn’t true? Did George Bush not state time and again between August and November that Iran had a nuclear program, and was pursuing a nuclear weapon? Did he not threaten World War III? At the time he was on TV trying to scare the American people into another war of choice, was he not aware of the National Intelligence Estimate, put together by his own appointees, that said Iran had no nuclear program, and hadn’t since 2003? This is what you wish to go back and “serve again” to defend?

I have also never defamed our military personnel. The facts are that 75% of all recruits come from homes with a total family income of less than $52,000.00 per year; over half come from families with total incomes of less than $35,000.00 per year. The median age of recruits into the military in FY2005 was 20 years. 88% of recruits to active duty are between the ages of 17 and 24. And while 99% of recruits have a high school diploma, a very small percentage (mostly officers) have any college at all. Only 43%b of recruits scored over 65% on the AFQT; 57% scored lower than 65%; and we ain’t talking the SAT here. Fewer than six members of congress have children in the military. Of all the Bush family members, only George W. “served.” None of Barbara’s grandchildren have served. Not a single child of any member of the Bush administration’s upper levels has served, not a single child of any member of the Halliburton Board of directors has served, and of twelve GOP Freshman member of congress in 2006, zero have served in the military. That is what I meant when I said “no one important is dying.” I clearly meant “important” to the Bush administration or congress.

So, you are going to take “Pat’s” advice (her name is Pam; learn to read), and not debate me anymore. Dude, we aren’t debating; a debate requires two sides, and in all your rambling commentary, I can find exactly two statements of fact; you served for eleven years in the military, and less than 40% of the Army is made up of minorities. One is an accurate statement of fact, the other I’ll take your word for. Good job! You are no Stephen Douglas. While we’re on the subject of advice, jarryo’s advice was to rant, who has been under the weather. And I never lose my temper; the first person who loses their temper loses the debate. Further, of course I’ll admit the majority of major party politicians on both sides are corrupt and sleazy; again, not what the list was about.

By the way, when George Soros was contributing millions of dollars in support of the Solidarity Labor Union in Poland, Chapter 77 Human Right Organization in Czechoslovakia, and the Rose Revolution in Georgia, he was a hero to the Neocons. Federal Reserve Chairman under Reagan, Paul Volcker, said of Soros, “The bulk of his enormous (fortune) is now devoted to encouraging transitional and emerging nations to become 'open societies,' open not only in the sense of freedom of commerce but - more important - tolerant of new ideas and different modes of thinking and behavior.” I am proud to be compared to him.

Merry Christmas my little Rosanne Rosannadana!
