why i feel like i'm getting old

Introduction

i turned thirty this year. i know this isn't OLD but it sure feels that way. reasons why:

grey hair

what is this? i swear, the number of grey hairs in my head have spawned exponentially. i am very disturbed, and may be hitting the bottle soon.

biological clock

i used to think i had all the time in the world before i had to think about having kids. when i turned thirty, the statistics turned on me. now i DO have to worry about it.

bedtime

if i'm not in bed by 10:30 on a week night, my entire next day is ruined.

liquor

what is it with these hangovers? they last all day, i'm grumpy and my head hurts. used to be one large dr. pepper, and i was good to go.

wrinkles

i've got to stop looking so closely. i think i'm being paranoid.

memory

i can't remember what i did two days ago. at all.

college kids

they appear to be just that. kids.

i remember my mom being 30

and thinking she was old.

Well, I'm not feeling sorry for you. Just wait until the quantity of gray in your hair requires a monthly trip to the stylist for the perfect shade of Clairol; or your wrinkles get wrinkles - I noticed today that my lips have wrinkles, YIKES!!; and memory, ummm, hmmm, what was I saying...
