things i enjoy about the holidays

Introduction
i made a list of reasons the holidays suck. i feel badly about it. i'm already turning into a scrooge. even those feeling are still relevant, here are things i like about the holidays.
1
food & wine
everyone brings out the big guns. wine, truffles, turkey. the food is amazing.
2
family
it's always fun to hang out with family. it's always low-key, cozy, comfortable and good to spend time with the people you love the most.

fireplaces
usually there is always a fire in the fireplace. i love the smell and sound of a good fire.
4
attitude
everyone for the most part is checked out of work and the world's stresses are put on hold for a couple of days. everyone you deal with seems to be in a good mood.

christmas trees
this only applies to real christmas trees. i LOVE the way they smell. although, i do feel bad for killing a perfectly good tree....

egg nog & cider
yums.

presents
everyone likes presents! i like giving them as much - if not more - than receiving them. and it gives me an excuse to shop without too much guilt.
Family and friends, and a scheduled event to appreciate both!
