Why I love Kelly and Katy

If they were home when a sweet, little girl named Brie-P would visit at their house they would take the time to play with her, especially Katy. Either in the really cool Barbie closet or with the exceptionally cool dress up clothes.

These are the girls who ran the school during each of their tenures there. Our son's first year in middle school was during Kelly's senior year. We bought the year book thinking, it would be a great keepsake for our kid. Well, there was one page of 6th graders and the rest of the book had Kelly, with her beautiful smile, on every page. At least it seemed like it at the time.

They just don't think like most of the people I know. Their minds always work outside the box. I especially loved Katy's asymmetrical hair cut when she was in middle school.

When a somewhat older sweet little Brie-P fell in love with Kelly's red and blonde streaked hair, Kelly didn't snicker or make fun; she just told the mom where to go in Springfield to have the color done and said to mention her name. The color was done, just a bit toned down.

I know that they are not always the joyfilled spirits we see most of the time, because their mom told me so. BUT, to spend time with them you would think they never have a bad moment.

I think the last time I saw Kelly in person she was covered with dust after spending days sanding the woodwork at the house in Springfield. The entire family has a work ethic that just runs amuck.

Well, that may be a litlle over-stated and too much like the Boy Scouts. But Kelly and Katy are just GOOD people. They are honorable and exemplary in all their endeavors.

There haven't been many people in my life who I would consider a BFF - but the Mom of Katy and Kelly is one of them. Those of you who know any of these ladies are truly blessed by our good Lord above.
