Introduction

I wrote a list about things I Love about my daughter but there are big changes since she has come into my life. I wouldn't have it any other way but I can't help to miss a few things...

1

Sleep, sleep and more sleep

They aren't kidding. Your sleep schedule is drastically shortened when a baby comes into your life. My husband and I are total night owls and little Anabel is a morning bird. The hubbie and I have all the sudden become morning people... after the mug of coffee.

Simply walking out the door

No more throwing my coat on and grabbing the keys! Gotta make sure I have a bottle, snacks, diapers, pacifiers, blankies, toys, and Anabel! Ahhh, I miss those days.

Date Nights

Well this has changed. We found a great babysitter and got to go out the other night for dinner and drinks. It was so nice to be Scott's wife and not just Anabel's Mom.

Jumping on the subway

Here in NYC subways are my primary form of transportation. Since Anabel has been born and I push around a stroller I have to make sure I go to the stations with elevators. This can make a short trip downtown a long trip with many transfers. Makes me sympathetic to disabled people that really depend on those elevators.

Clutter, clutter EVERYWHERE!

My husband and I pride ourselves on our little organized apartment. Since Anabel has come into our lives so has the clutter. Toys, toys and more toys. Have to have the jumperoo, the bouncy seat and the bumbo. She LOVES it all and that's all that matters.

Not feeling so rushed

I feel like I'm always rushing. When she goes down for her morning nap... BAM, I'm off!!!! Clean up the kitchen, pick up the toys, catch up on emails and phone calls, eat breakfast, do laundry, vacuum, etc. Things are just a little more rushed these days.

Isn't being a parent great :-) The morning thing sucks the most. Not to worry, you will be able to relax a bit and sleep in about 18 years or so.
