My first day off in over a month

Introduction

Things I should do, but probably won't so I can just relax in the first day I haven't been at the office in honestly four weeks (and just to be clear, I'm not exaggerating, since May 1, I've been in the office every day save 5 of them).

Iron clothes

I don't like getting my shirts pressed because I find the cleaners do a terrible job. So I tend to do it at home. However, unless I do it right after washing, I tend to put it off and just to get away with wearing wrinkled clothes. I should invest in the spray that removes wrinkles. I've had friends use it with some decent results. Currently I have like 10-12 shirts waiting to be ironed. And they are too wrinkled to get away with wearing to work without looking like a complete slob, which unfortunately isn't an option. And I'd not do it even it if it was.

Do laundry

I have a few more days of undergarments, so this isn't a pressing need. What does need to be done, and there is little chance I do it today, is to fold laundry. I have laundry that's been done at least a week sitting in the basket begging to be folded (btw, I LOATHE folding socks, fwiw). But the sun is shining and I have a day off. Maybe I'll try and brown my skin just a bit so I don't look like I'm on death's edge. So laundry might wait.

Clean my apartment

It's not disgustingly dirty. But it's not clean. And while it's my intention to clean it, look at me, I'm making lists, not cleaning! Besides I'm debating hiring a cleaning person. It's really not something I want to do. I think I should be able to do it myself. But for my space it wouldn't be that much. And I'd only have the service come in once every 4-6 weeks. Basically to dust. I can live with a month, month and a half's worth of dust. I also LOATHE dusting. I can scrub/mop floors, do dishes, vacuum, clean bathrooms, wash windows, everything with the best of them. But I cannot stand to dust. I mean it's EVERYWHERE. I can't be bothered to dust the top shelf of my bookshelves. I never even use that shelf! I dust my TV, TV stand. And that's about it.

Take Monty on a long outside walk

Okay, this is the most likely to happen of everything on this list. And while he deserves it (I take him on walks twice daily, I just mean an extended walk, not that he needs it). And it gives me some outside time, I'm almost just as likely to crawl back into bed. Or at the very least nap on my couch with my PowerBook on my stomach so I can surf the web and make lists or something.

Cook a proper meal

In my defense, I did cook Thursday. But it was a cheesecake. And it was for my girlfriend to give to her little sister for her little sister's birthday. And no later than Monday I'm going back to cooking more because I've been lax with my health the past month and that's got to change. But maybe I let myself slide one more day. I'm tired yo!

Work out

I've done negligible working out over the past two months. But I repeat what I said above, I'm tired yo! I know. You make time for the things that are important to you. So apparently my health isn't important to me. Bah. Like I said, I worked out a little here and there. But it's summer, I need to get on my game! Haha. Can't have my girlfriend lounging by the pool with some pale mushy guy. But maybe it waits one more day....

Damn it, all of the things on this list

Now that I've made the list and all my reasons, and it's almost 9am, I feel guilty and at 9 I'm getting up, cranking some tunes, and doing EVERYTHING on this list.
