Introduction
I hate, despise, loathe, etc. getting up in the morning. Then. I hate being up in the morning. After many years I have figured out what works (for me) to get with it in the AM. Since the morning sets the tone for the entire day, it is important to treat it with the respect it deserves.

Snooze
Only hit the snooze once, any more and you are just torturing yourself.

Get out of bed and MAKE it.
A made bed is much less appealing. If your significant other is still in it looking all warm & cuddly, remember he/she is probably a little stinky too. Morning breath - also not appealing.

Do whatever gets you going
Shower (my personal favorite), coffee, etc.

No TV
TV is more distracting than radio. I am (was) an avid Imus fan; I'd find myself stopping to "watch" what was happening instead of just keeping it in the background.

Breakfast
Get up just a few minutes early to allow enough time for a sit down breakfast. Just a few moments of quiet relaxation eating a muffin or cereal makes a difference in my day.

Morning People
Stay away, if possible, from those annoying, chipper morning people. The ones who get up before the alarm all sunshiney and happy. They are just irritating!

Figure it out yourself
Try different things and see what works for you. I know some of you are thinking, no way, those last 10 minutes are worth all the rushing around and running into work. In 20 years you look back on my cold, dead body and think, "whoa, she may have had a point".
My favorite morning...assistance to the LazyGirl chair and IV coffee. Have a good one, Pam!

I have to be the worst morning person ever! I am already bad with time and the morning makes it so much worse...My mornings: Alarm: 6:30am snooze button till it goes off again like 6 times. Finally get up: Drag myself out of bed around 7:10 sometimes 7:20 on really bad days. Get ready: This consist of running around the bathroom and throwing on clothes.( I always pick out what I am going to wear the night b4 along with showering at nights!) Leave: Around 7:40 or 7:45 I leave the house quickly grabing a water bottle, garnola bar and tv diner for lunch and race to work to make it there by 8:00am!

Another one: Avoid your fellow non-morning people... especially with middle school girls... lots of cabinet slamming!

As long as I have my coffee and remember to put on my pants it's gonna be a good day :)
