Good list. Love New Wave. Haven't heard of some of these. Check out The Buzzcocks, I think you would like them. Also if you like something with a bit more punch... The Decendents.

there was a point in my adolescence when I thought New Order could be the soundtrack to my life. Then I discovered I was not that cool and resigned myself to listening to the soundtracks of Wes Anderson films.
i still like "jesus and marry chain" and "gang of four", but that about does it. well, maybe "haircut 100" and "stump" should get honorable mention, for just being plain-weird, lyrically.
