Introduction
These are songs I found that even during a sad time in my life, seem to make
me happy, and some of them take you back. They are not all new songs, hehehe.
1
Umm Bop
Hansen really had it going on here. They were just kids and the world went crazy over this song when it came out. People wonder what happened to them.. Their 3rd album didn't do so well, so I think they went on hiatus for just a bit.
2
Jumping Jack Flash
Mick Jagger pretty much must have been off his rocker when he wrote this song, but it's catchy. It starts out, "I was born is a cross fire hurricane." Okay? Need I say more... It's funky, and and people remember it easily enough...
3
The Best
Tina Turner can really belt out a tune here. It's about someone being the best person, anbd don't we all know someone we feel this way about? She has such a strong voice here, it is not easily forgotten.
4
My Sharona
The Knack slammed people with this song, and the world adopted it pretty quickly. I often have friends who tell me what they did while listening to this song, anything from locking themselves in their room and turning the music high, to just plain trying to annoy people with the chorus line over and over back in the day.

Photograph
I can't think of who sings this song right now. It's starts out, "look at this photogragh, every time I do, it makes me laugh..." and we really want to pull out a photograph after hearing this one. The singer has a very melodic and strong voice. A song to start or end your day.
6
Candy Rain
This song is by Soul for real, and they sound a tad like Boys to Men. What makes this song memorable is all the nostalgia,,, "do you ever dream of...." it makes you think anything is possible, and gives you this feel good vibe.
7
Don't Worry, Be Happy...
Bobby Mcferrin really nailed it here. This is what life is about. I don't care how old the song is. I remember it, and it's always a happy, sappy, good song to play when you are already in that frame of mind.

Now
Deff Leppard has some of the greatest songs. I understand some of you think their time has past, but they cut this one out pretty good. It's about living in the present. Acting on things now... Being the happiest you can be "right now". Not a bad suggestion, and I always remember this song. The singer has a very distinctive voice.

Where Eagles Fly
Sammy Hagar, the ever talented, "people want to follow me around" kind of guy came out with this song, and the world listened. He wrote it back in high school, and it became popular much later. it goes to show you, your talent starts when you are younger sometimes. never underestimate our youth!
10
On the floor
Bananaramma sings this song. It was made as a re-mix back in 05-06 and I almost missed it. A station called Energy 97.3 brought it back out here in Ca, and that's when people started paying attention to it. It makes you not only want to move, you really want to get out on the floor and dance, because that's what makes life fun sometimes. Enjoy your life!
"I Like to Move It Move It" by Reel 2 Real. Everytime I hear this it makes me laugh. Watch Madagascar, and when they break into this song you will be laughing.

That would be number one on my guilty pleasures list. I am sure my friends would laugh at me if I told them that was my favorite. I don't care. I got a kick out of your guilty pleasures list. :-)

Photograph is by Nickelback. It is one of the worst songs to be on the radio in the past decade.
That said, I do love Mmm Bop!
