Rocking out in LA

Introduction

I've been to quite a few shows in LA over the past few years. These are some of my favorite venues to catch some tunes.

Besides the fun name, this place attracts some of indie rock's best. I've seen the Shins and Block Party here.

Super chill venue with moody lighting. Tends to cater to a singer songwirter type act. Saw Rilo Kiley here.

Legendary LA club. This is the first place I saw Franz Ferdinand.

Another LA legend. Saw My Morning Jacke, OK Go, and Gnarls Barkley here.

Kind of like Bimbo's in San FRancisco. Saw Jamie Lidell, Justice, and the Kooks here.

I've just been here once but there's definitely an underground party vibe to this place. Was just here for a DJ night. No band.
