Introduction
In no particular order
1
Paula Abdul
Ok, this was my first concert ever! Don't hold it against me. I was VERY young.
2
Color Me Bad
Second concert ever. They had opened for Paula and I just loved them, so I saw them a second time at 6 Flags. Again, I was very young!
3
Grateful Dead
Favorite concert ever was a 3 day show in Vegas. I think I was 15. Maybe 16. My mom must have really trusted me! Was lucky enough to see them a few more times after that. Then Jerry passed away. :(
4
Traffic
I remember someone walking up to me and asking "How's traffic?" I was like, "Uhm, it didn't take us that long to get here." Forgot what concert I was seeing!
5
Smashing Pumpkins
Saw them in a small venue in Springfield, MO and then again in a large venue in St. Louis. Both great shows, but the first was the best. We got pulled over driving down to Springfield from the Lake, about 8 of us in a Suburban. Lucky the cops didn't haul us to jail. Instead they just took all our beer. I think I was 15....and they called my mom.
6
Phish
Hard to even remember these shows but I am sure I enjoyed them all! I wish I could remember who the opening acts were.....I need a music library in my head like Noah!
7
Widespread Panic
Numerous shows that because I don't have Noah's music library ability, I can't recall all the details. Favorite show was my 20th bday in Memphis. Danny bought me tickets for my bday. The weekend ended and the back of my legs were covered in bruises from dancing and hitting the chairs. Great seats, great music and great friends.
8
Snoop Dog
Still ranks up there as one of my favorite concerts. Caught this in Springfield, which is beyond bizzarre to me.
9
The Black Crows
Great show, even though it was cut short due to a fight in the crowd. Small venue, the Blue Note in Columbia. Check out Noah's "Reasons I love Columbia" list.
10
Sting
He is so sexy. Great show...though the rapping after intermission kind of turned me off.
11
Doobie Brothers
Watched this whole concert in the pouring rain. I remember dancing in the puddles at Riverport.
12
Santana
Got kicked out of this show at Riverport. Hate that place. Underage drinking. Thankfully my fake ID was hidden in my pants and I was able to continue underage drinking for a few more years. I think I was 18. I was searched and my cell phone accidentally called my mom. She heard the whole thing. If you haven't guessed already, she's pretty cool and didn't get pissed at all.
13
Rusted Root
This band is so great, hearing any song instantly takes me back to high school parties.
14
Led Zepplin
A reunion tour, of course. Still a great show. Some of my girlfriends and I drove up from the Lake for my 16th bday for this. What a great way to celebrate, even though we had shitty ass seats!
15
Steve Miller Band
A show I really don't remember much about....I know it was at Riverport....can't even remember who I went with.
16
50 Cent
I think my 3 friends and I were the only uncoordinated white people in there. We cannot dance! Some guy kept making me try to move my hips. It was an ugly sight.
17
BB King
Free concert on the riverfront in St. Louis. It was so crowded that we parked in the depths of hell in a parking garage (see my list on things that invoke the rage of mean Colleen.) Sat under the Arch straining to hear. Note to self...get to free concerts earlier!
18
Big Head Todd and the Monsters
Another free show on the riverfront. This one we could hear and really enjoyed. St. Louis puts on a fine free concerts series complete with fireworks!
19
Digital Underground
Ugh. Spring Break in South Padre. Miserable club venue. Stupid Humpty and his group came back to our suite and drank our booze and violated our friends. Rozalyn kicked them out.
20
Kid Rock
I've never been a fan, but when Markway asked me to go, I said of course. Free tickets, why not. It was awesome! He really put on a good show. Plus, we had to go to the mall to pick out bikini's for the 'models' aka strippers that were dancing on stage. It was funny to see them in the string bikinis that we were running around the mall trying to find...do you know how hard it is to find an extra small bottom with an extra large top in red, white or blue?!
21
Prince
WOW! Amazing show. Probably one of the best concerts I have ever been to. We snuck down close and told some guys to shove over and let us in. It worked and we danced and sang our little butts off.
22
Matchbox 20
Saw this band before they became famous. Can't remember who they opened for, even though that is really who we went to see. I was a fan when they weren't famous. Then they lost me.
23
Lilith Fair
I can't even remember all the acts that were there. I just remember I went with 3 girls and 1 guy. The guy was very sad that day because it was the day Versace was killed. Strange way to remember that show.
24
Jimmy Buffett
Ah, from Dead Head to Parrot Head. I love it all.
25
Chicago
It was a long day and the music was mellow. I fell asleep in the lawn.
26
Earth Wind and Fire
Do you remember the 21st night of September...
I have to add this to my songs list.
I have to add this to my songs list.
27
Paul Simon
I turned into Danny at this show. I didn't want anyone to talk...I couldn't hear a thing! Stupid Riverport...it was so quiet you had to strain to hear him sing.
28
Bob Dylan
Same deal as above. I couldn't believe people were not paying attention to Dylan!!!
29
Kelly Clarkson
Ok...I am NOT a fan of hers. But Markway got us in this front VIP section...it was some Dasani music festival...I could see the acne on her back. Bacne if you will. Everyone seemed to enjoy the show though. I just laughed. Sorry, I just don't care for this music anymore.
30
Better Than Ezra
A good song or two. Don't they sing that song "It was good living with you, uh oh...." I like that one.
31
Joss Stone
I want to be her. Dance around with my shoes off and try to channel Janis Joplin. Love it.
32
Nelly
Saw him the Same day as the above 3. What a day full of an array of music. A great way to end it with some homegrown rap. I can't even remember all the rappers that got on stage with him, but I am sure I loved them all!
33
Debbie Harry
She was with some jazz quartet. It was intersting and good, even though I wasn't really into that type of music at the time. One way, or another....she did bust that out.
34
Interpol
Ventured across the state for this one. Met up with friends in KC and caught the show. The lead singer is a friend of a friend, so we all went out afterwards. I was body slammed on the bar floor and that was it for me.
35
Juliana Hatfield
Whatever happened to her? I still have this shirt. It says "Ugly" on it. Maybe I was into self loathing at the time.
36
Indigo Girls
They are fabulous, so just shut up. Caught this one in good ole Warrensburg, MO. I have never been surrounded by so many girls!
37
Hootie and the Blowfish
Hootie puts on a damn good show!
38
Pharcyde
Seriously, can't believe I didn't remember them earlier in the list. What a fun show full of energy. Again, at the Blue Note. Love Love Loved it. This was and still is one of my favorite groups.
39
Erin Bode
St. Louis native, I think, who has a beautiful voice. If she comes to your neck of the woods, check her out.
40
The Rolling Stones
Mick can still move!
41
Bela Fleck
Justin Manges was so drunk we had to leave....I think it was at the Missouri Theater...so we went across the street to Quintons and kept drinking.
42
The Fray
43
Gavin Degraw
We were in the back shot of his MTV or VHI interview or something. He was kinda cute.
44
TI
I was just reminded that he opened for Nelly. I think Fat Joe was supposed to, but he cancelled which was a bonus for us, cause I love me some TI!
45
The Allman Brothers
The first concert my sister and I went to together since seeing Paula Abdul back in the day. Had a little VIP treatment thanks to Markway!
46
Ryan Adams
love the kid rock story. would like to see him in concert. i feel it would be most amusing.

I saw Snoop Dog in Springfield at the Shrine and it was awesome and the whole scene seemed out of place.

pretty cool that you got to hang with Interpol. For a while I thought they also sang the song "Tear You Apart" the creepy/strangely enjoyable stalkerish song. Turns out it is by She Wants Revenge. Must be the evil alter ego of Interpol
