Introduction
This list is based on my experience as a kid, when my dad would drive, listening to WLS out of Chicago or whatever local station, or as an adult when I got behind the wheel and would make the long cross country treks. There are some whole albums that are great for driving at 3 AM on a lonely interstate and they are also included. This list is in no particular order. Please feel free to add your own.
Radar Love - Golden Earring
Miracles - Jefferson Starship
Night Moves - Bob Seger
Moon Safari - Air
The whole album!!!
Porcelain - Moby
Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits
Oh! Inverted World - The Shins
The whole album!!!
Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin
One Night in Bangkok - Murray Head
The Wizard - Black Sabbath
The Way Young Lovers Do - Van Morrison
Riders on the Storm - The Doors
White Man in Hammersmith Palais - The Clash
Eye in the Sky - The Alan Parsons Project
journey....! oh! and that's punny on this list.

Great list!! Seeing Moby and Sabbath on the same list just seems wrong to me though!

Great list. Those were the days; summer nights, warm summer nights, cruising down the highway in my 50 Chevy (Truly my first car), listening to WLS out of Chicago, and Wolfman Jack on XERF-AM in Del Rio, Texas.
Later drove from KC to Padre Island, non-stop, listening to my Bat Out of Hell cassette over and over.
