ALO (Animal Liberation Orchestra)
Wow. These guys are all kinds of good. Jimmy Buffet meets Widespread. Amazingly real lyrics and a taste for the good times.

Hot Chip
The New Wave is upon us. Postal Service meets 80's pop.

Particle
Techno jam band who's front man plays the keys and looks like Jesus. Prepare for crescendo's.

Lotus
Wow. The future of live music.

John Butler Trio
Aboriginal tribesman, meet Jack Johnson. Amazing lyrics, and very positive.

Cloud Cult
Modest Mouse meets Death Cab for cutie. Without a doubt one of the most original bands making music right now. Must listen.

Bloc Party
Ya! Rock on!!!! Bloc Party meets Bloc Party.

Bassnectar
Chill out and groove. Amazing DJ who has somehow become a phenom on the jam band scene.

These two go hand in hand.

Bright Eyes
Hardly a better lyricist alive. "There's kids playing guns in the streets and one's pointing his tree branch at me."

Xavier Rudd
All wood instruments. Boy from the bush meets John Mayer. Great positive music and some amazing Digeridoo jams. Amazingly original musician.

Imogen Heap
Absolutely beautiful music. Dreams made music. Some amazingly visual recollections of childhood spun into dramatic commentaries on love. (See also: Frou Frou)

Speakeasy
Local favorite, and still one of the best damn live bands I've seen. Just plain fun.

It's about the animal inside... they have an eponymous song about it. Check their newest album out. Cool site! Great idea!
Really like Bloc Party, Particle, Bright Eyes and John Butler Trio. Will have to check out the rest.
