Introduction
This is actually a list of DVD's I need to download or...errr actually buy.
1
Stop Making Sense - The Talking Heads
Best live DVD ever in my opinion. I've bought it before, and lent it to friends, only to never get it back.
2
Live at the Quick - Bela Fleck and the Flecktones
Crazy intense music, great show.
3
Space is the Place - Sun Ra
For those "special" times. Also known as "This will melt your face".
4
Live in Las Vegas - Phish
One of the DVD's that doesn't just have Trey talking constantly.
5
The Closing of Winterland - Grateful Dead
It says in the book that comes with the DVD that even one of the winterland janitors was on coke...so you know it's going to be a fast paced show.
6
Live at the Fillmore - Moe.
If you haven't listened to Moe before, this is a good place to start.
7
Demon Days - Gorillaz
They're awesome...anything Tina Weymouth does is awesome (see Stop Making Sense)
8
5 Gallons of Diesel - Les Claypool
Definitely one of the best live shows I've seen...and this DVD is pretty nice at capturing the energy.
9
Festival Express - Various Artists
Footage taken from the train tour of:
The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, The Band, Buddy Guy and a lot more.
The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, The Band, Buddy Guy and a lot more.
10
The Last Waltz - The Band
I mean, Scorsese directed it and it's the Band...come on, do I need to explain myself?
11
Coachella: The Movie - Various Artists
Everyone...including Bjork. Yea. Bjork. Check it.
