Rocket Science
yes, I get the "Rushmore" connection. I also want to see "Charlie Bartlett".
What can I say? I like movies about precocious young men in a life struggle. Ha! (see also: Tadpole, Rodger Dodger, Dead Poets Society, Igby Goes Down)

The King of Kong
I usually do not see movies about video games, but this doc looks really interesting. Besdies, we had an Atari at the house. I figure I owe it to my generation to watch it. Now if it were about Qbert, there is no way in hay-yell I would go. I hated that effer.

The Darjeeling Limited
I love Wes Anderson. I love the relationships he creates in all their awkward glory. I love how his stories can make me want to laugh and cry at the same time. I find a lot of depth and thought in his characters and most espcecially, the attention to detail when it comes to the set design.
I know it isn't fair, but when I hear people/critics dismiss his work or claim it is repetitive, I secretly believe they are stupid or have no imagination.

Eastern Promises
David Cronenberg has made some wacky movies. "Scanners" alone had my big brother and me staring bug-eyed at each other at the dinner table trying to make the other's head explode.. The cast here seems pretty badass. I love Vincent Cassel and I think the idea of Armin Mueller-Stahl as a baddie is especially sinister.
Plus, you know...Russians. They will cut you.

Across the Universe
have you seen the traielr for this? I don't even know if it fits well into the "musical" milieu, but how can you resist?

The Kingdom
Despite my knee-jerk reaction to Jennifer Gardner (I still haven't forgiven her for attempting to call Conan O'Brien out for using the word, "snuck" in his interview with her), Chris Cooper is kickass in everyhting he makes and if Peter Berg is as good directing as he was in A Midnight Clear, I'll be fine. That sentence looks horrible.

2 Days in Paris
Ugh. I seem to be the only person who does not completely worship Julie Delpy. yes, she was good in the Three Colors Trilogy, but everytime she glances archly down her milk-white nose at another American I just want to give her the finger. The reviews I have read wax on and on about how talented she is (her credits for the movie are lengthy), so I guess I will have to put my fat ass out there and give it a fair shot. Besides, Adam Goldberg as The Hebrew Hammer? Genius.
