noah and i accidentally stumbled across this one night on HBO. we both had to pick our jaws up off the floor. who cares that ken lay wrote my mom a personal thank you note? i'd call him a jerk, but he passed away and that's just not nice.
the future of food
got turned on to this by pete and liz. it's about all of these strains of corn, soy bean, etc, and how specific mutations are owned by corporations (monsanto) and the effect they have on small farmers. scary.

i'm more of a mocumentary guy (ie: hands on a hardbody.) but, i do own one documentary. if you like afrocuban jazz/salsa, it's a good one - buena vista social club.

Just watched "Cocaine Cowboys" last night. Great doc about the rise of the cocaine business in Miami and southern Florida in the late '70s and '80s.
i highly recommend 'the devil and daniel johnstone'.
