Introduction
Comedy is a risky genre to do. After all, jokes can get old when you hear them a hundred times. The movies on this list STILL get me busting a gut years later.
(These movies are listed in alphabetical order.)
"Beverly Hills Cop"
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beverly_Hills_Cop
The funniest moment of Eddie Murphy's entire career (besides SNL). It's scary to think Paramount's working on a fourth one (the third sucked).
"Blazing Saddles"
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blazing_Saddles
Who would've thought that Richard Pryor's reverse-racist writing and Mel Brook's directing would result in the greatest satire of all time?
"Ferris Bueller's Day Off"
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferris_bueller
John Hughes struck gold with this one. It was funniest when Ferris, played by Matthew Broderick, would break the fourth wall and talk to the audience, particularly when he was giving tips on how to fake an illness.
"History of the World, Part 1"
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_World%2C_Par…
So many movie genres were parodied here, you'd think the movie would be a total mess. Fortunately, this is one of the lewdest, crudest, and funniest messes ever put to film!
"Lethal Weapon" (Entire Series)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lethal_weapon
All four of the "Lethal Weapon" movies are laugh-riots, in addition to being stellar action films. I wonder, when Mel Gibson played the crazy Det. Martin Riggs, was it method-acting?
For the record, my favorite is the third.
"Porky's"
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porky%27s
The penultimate teen sex comedy. What makes this movie even funnier is knowing that the scenarios in the film actually happened in high schools around the country... yes, even the whole "Lassie" bit!
"SpaceBalls"
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaceballs
This rip on sci-fi movies has some of the best dialogue ever uttered, most of which references the fact that, yes, it is just a movie.
"Stitches"

You'd be hard-pressed to find this one, but it's worth tracking down as it's the funniest doctor comedy I've ever seen. I actually like this one more than "M*A*S*H"!
