Introduction
I am an above middle aged mom, a fairly conservative Christian who loves movies. There are a few movies I have watched because my kids encouraged me to do so. We were all surprised when I decided I really liked them. It's fun watching these with my adultish kids and cracking up with them. I don't mind the violence & can deal with foul language; I usually hate stupid (Dumb & Dumber, Saving Silverman) but these tickled me. Go figure...
Dogma
A Kevin Smith movie with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. A hilarious parody of (primarily) Catholicism, but organized religion in general. It has foul language, a naked Chris Rock falling from the sky and much gore. One of my faves in spite of the aforementioned.

Dude, Where's My Car?
Ashton Kutcher and Seann William Scott as very stupid, very sucky boyfriends. This is so stupid it is funny. There are some great lines that I am ofter heard saying. Much bad language and some really big hooters.

The Big Lebowski
A Cohen Brothers film. Jeff Bridges as "Dude", a guy managing to get through life doing nothing. He gets involved in a kidnapping and the fun begins.

Fargo
Another Cohen film about a heinous murder and the aftermath. William H Macy and Steve Buscemi are great in this movie, as is Frances McDormand as a very pregnant sheriff. This is supposedly based on factual events. Bad language and a graphic scene of a body being fed into a wood chipper make this inappropriate for the young and faint hearted; of which I am neither.

Billy Madison
Adam Sandler is out to take back his reputation as a student. He needs to finish school to inherit his dad's money and business. He is a drunk and a foul mouthed goof who keeps seeing a large penguin.
One of the best movie quotes ever, "Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul." At our house we say it along with the principal.

I like these movies too...I'm not too sure that I should hate them, though...
