Introduction
We all have them, the movies that we secretly adore despite there being a good chance of public
ridicule if we were ever caught watching these. Here are my top five!
1
Army of Darkness
Bruce Campbell vs. The evil dead. How can you go wrong? Other thanbeing blasted back
in time with the hugest chin to grace cinema screens, ever. Sam Raimi throws caution to
the wind with this movie. His previous Evil Dead movies were relatively serious movies,
wereas Army Of Darkness was created purely for laughs (and to cause Bruce Campbell
pain).
I'm not really ashamed about this one, I'm a fan no matter what.

The Sound of Music
I am ashamed of this one though. I couldn't even tell you why I like it all that much,
but some deep dark hidden part of my psyche watched Maria and the kids prance
around the hills singing about deer and sunlight and kittens and it latched on with
both hands.
For extra shame points bear in mind that I've been to a singalong version of this.

Cars
I know, I know, hardly Pixars best work ever (I still think that title belongs to Monsters Inc) and frankly most people hated this movie. Not me. I loved every second of it, including the endless moralising and tired movie cliches. I own a copy and I've had to hide it because of the number of people who have come over, pointed at it and screamed "get behind me o' Satan!"

4
Black Sheep
This movie is so awesome it almost Army of Darkness, but with sheep (thats how I have described it to my friends). Picture the serene New Zealand farmstead, complete with thousands of sheep. Now add into that picture a kind of zombie virus that makes the sheep into evil killer carnivore sheep. Now you're getting the idea. You probably haven't seen this if you aren't in New Zealand but track down a copy anyway.
Oh yeah, the lead female characters name is Experience.
Nuff said.

Judge Dread
I'm not sure if this one should be at the top of the list of the bottom of the barrel but I loe this adaption of the popular comics. Sure its not faithful to he origional material, the acting special effects and casting are all suspect but Judge Dread is the ultimate "brain off, bring me butter flavoured popcorn and beer" kind of movie.
It's also a great movie for drinking games. For example: take a drink every time Sly says something you didn't quite understand. That rule, strictly enforced should see to it that no-one makes it to the end credits awake.

Sound of Music I unabashedly embrace. The rest on your list---not so much! LOL But hey, to each his own. Thanks for sharing!
