Introduction

There are some strange people in the world who do some pretty peculiar things. It just depends on your perspective what you think is strange. I think the following people are a bit peculiar, strange, odd, or eccentric. If you ARE one of these people, you might disagree with me though.

Gum Wrapper Chain Man

This is the current record holder of the world's longest gum wrapper chain. As of March 11, 2007, it was 50,905 feet. It is made up of 1,192,492 gum wrappers! It is going to be measured again on Nov. 3, 2007 to see if it has reached 10 miles in length.

This shows a house where a guy never threw out his beer cans and the boxes they came in. He lived in the house with it like this. (actually it was worse, they took some of the cans and boxes out before taking photos.)

"Performance artists are known for pushing the boundaries, but one Australian has astonished his contemporaries by having a third ear implanted onto his arm. The Cypriot-born eccentric Stelios Arcadious spent 10 years searching for a surgeon willing to perform the controversial operation. He got his wish after working as a Research Fellow at Nottingham Trent University’s Digital Research Unit. The ear was grown in a lab from cells and implanted into the 61-year-olds left forearm in 2006.

Mr Arcadious said he thought art 'should be more than simply illustrating ideas.' 'I hope to have a tiny microphone implanted to it that will connect with a bluetooth transmitter; that way you can listen to what my ear is hearing.'"

Making sweaters from bb lint to donate to orphans just might be enough to qualify you for this list, Ol Hippie, but I didn't have any good photos of you available to post. The people like pictures you know. :)

Alrighty then...these certainly qualify as Peculiar, Strange, Odd, and Eccentric.

I guess Bud Light could use the guys house for advertising.

Actually, I'm quite sure there are those who would like to post my picture on this list, but they can't......because it's MY list! They'll just have to make their own list! :)
