The poker news community is a very high authority site with a large amount of helpful content. While its community features are very poor in comparison to WassOnline it does make up for it with a large amount of content, information and news surrounding poker.

I highly recommend you check this site frequently if you are looking for a reliable poker news source and moderately active forum.

Poker Junkie is a great site for articles and information on poker. It has a new poker forum which while not currently very busy will pick up momentum due to how good the site is. You will find poker room reviews and freeroll help as well as advice on which poker room is best.
It features some basic community plug-ins such as profile hosting and picture uploading but some of these functions do not currently work 100%.

I recommend this site more for beginners as it has lots of basic information to get you going and lots of reviews to help you decide which rooms to play in.

Full contact poker is a very well designed site that has a lot of quality content hosted on it. It is very professional and a great resource to keep handy for more experienced players. The hosted forums are slightly on the serious side but this is a minor thing.
The articles and news is first class however and the site is run by a famous professional, Dan Negreanu.
It does lack in community features however but a site can’t have everything!

Although the information on Poker.com should rank it higher it has been demoted due to it’s sheer lack of effort. It is obviously a very large site rich in information, bonus codes and good links but a site this large can obviously afford to make a larger effort at building a community base and Poker.com have thrown it away.

It contains information on games rules, poker pros and even sells poker merchandise but other than a forum it has nothing there for interaction.

I recommend you check this site out for info but find another forum or community to be a part of.
