Introduction
Just a few of the dive bars I have enjoyed a spirit or two or fifteen.

Paradise Lounge
Located on Commercial St. It has great food and James the owner could not be any more friendly. His Ghetto Burger is a 1lb beast! Great catfish & $5 pitchers all day.

The Silverleaf
This place is located on W. Republic. They only serve beer and can only fit about 20 people in the bar. Old t-shirts line the ceiling which make for great reading material.

Barbaras Beer Garden
Located on N. Glenstone. Great people watching!

Longbranch Lounge
Located on N. National. It looks like a condemmed building but they do open early. Not 3pm early I mean more like 8am early.

Nitro Lounge
Located about 2 blocks north of Longbrach. Same look, smell, & atmosphere.

Rays Lounge
Located on E. St. Louis St. I went to Jell-O wrestling there the other night & man was that entertaining. Ray reminds me of Blue from Old School.

The Step Child lounge
Located behind the palace shopping center. Shuffle board, pool tables, & no windows. Who could ask for a better bar.

The Daily Pub
It's kind of hidden away just west of the Kraft factory. Great place for live music. Pool tables, shuffle board, and plenty of seating.

The Cat & the Fiddle R.I.P.
One of our favorties. Gross bathrooms and a bartender named Satan. It was located next to CD Warehouse. A lot of great memories. It got demolished about 2 years ago.

Golden Lounge
Located on Golden Rd. just south of Kearney. It sits right outside of a steel factory. This is the farthest northside dive bar with out leaving the city limits that I have found. I was taking pictures for work and drove right past it. Sweet clientele!
i'm from springfield and i've never heard of the first eight bars on your list! how is that?! i'm intrigued.
My son works at a place downtown called The Outland sometimes. It looks really divey. Are these more divey than that? Hard to believe...
Ray's has a killa all-u-can drink night on Weds.... crazy drunk chicks...
having merely driven by the nitro and longbranch lounge - with you dylan (and trailer likely in tow) - i've feared for my life. and i've always been intrigued by barbara's.
by the way....what a great pub crawl this would be. much better that those lame attempts downtown.
Only went to the cat and the fiddle once with my gay friend...we drank cocktails from a plastic cup, others drank beer from a can and we ended up getting thrown out of the bar because my drunk friend tried to start a fight with some big ass guy who called him a fag...did i mention this was around 2pm on a tues? good times
i'm completely in favor of a spfd dive bar pub crawl! how fun! also - how about twilight? is that still around? it was rather divey...
Didn't Ray's use to be a strip club? i distinctly remember a pole and a stage...your right Ray and Blue are one in the same. I'm up for a pub crawl...we should set up a date next time everyone is in town.
There are a couple of twilight bars here so I am not sure whcih one you are talking about.
And yes Rays used to be a strip club. It now hosts dirty jell-owrestling with women with loose morales.

haha rays lounge! I had a sorority dance there once, it was a great time!
Don't forget about myplace bar on w. sunshine, I don't know bar on Packard Rd., Rosey's Lounge, and last but not least Delvins place. I don't know if I should be proud of myself or concerned for knowing where every bar is in springvegas!
i miss the cat and fiddle. wasnt the bar shaped like a cat? or maybe a fiddle? you would not have wanted the lady bartenders there on your bad side.
