1
Mashed potatoes and gravy
Drown your sorrows in rich, dark pools of gravy swimming in a sea of mashed potatoes.

2
Chocolate Chip Cookies and milk
Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, still warm from the oven, washed down with cold milk. Yum!

3
Hot buttered scones with jam
A cup of hot tea and some hot buttered scones with jam make any gloomy day brighter!

4
Macaroni and Cheese
Ah, yes! The creamiest, cheesiest old-fashioned macaroni and cheese - not that stuff in a box (although, it's okay in a pinch).

5
Homemade pie
Homemade pie, any flavor, any kind, whether it's a Dutch Apple Pie, a lemon icebox pie, or a juicy blackberry pie - all homemade pies sooth the soul and the spirit! Eat the pie plain, or top it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or a HUGE dollop of whipped cream. M--m-m....you'll be feeling better already!

6
Glazed donuts or cinnamon twists
Enjoy a decadent breakfast of glazed donuts or soft, fresh cinnamon twists, with a cup of piping hot coffee as you leisurey read the paper on a Saturday morning. What could be better?

Chocolate-Cinnamon Toast - the Ultimate Comfort Food!
threeangelsgourmet.com/wordpress/?p=272
Some mornings you wake up and charge out of bed, ready to save the world. Other mornings you want to pull the covers over your head and tell the world (including your family) to go away.
On those “undercover” days, try this Chocolate-Cinnamon Toast. There’s nothing quite as comforting as cinnamon and chocolate mixed together. This toast is the ultimate comfort food. It’ll give you a good reason to throw off those covers and charge out of bed on even the gloomiest day.
Recipe is at the URL above!

11
Meatloaf
On a cool fall evening, enjoy some meatloaf, hot with gravy and mashed potatoes, for dinner. The next day, try a cold slice of meatloaf in a sandwich. Delish!

12
Cheesecake! Cheesecake! Cheesecake!
Ahh...yes! Cheesecake! Life is hardly worth living with some creamy cheesecake now and then.
I'm not sure about the Dr Pepper, though. Do you drink that with the cheesecake?

18
French Toast
As the weather turns cool and crisp, start the day with comforting french toast with maple syrup and a little powdered sugar. Oh...and don't forget the butter! Yum!

Fudge!
Rich and chocolatey fudge! Some like it sugary (whole-grain-sugar fudge, my husband calls it), others like it creamy! But everyone loves sweet, chocolatey fudge!
