these are celebrities i've seen or met in person. i'd say this is a pretty good list for a small town girl.
sarah jessica parker
i was with friends in NYC, and we popped into the philosophy store in soho. a teeny person with scary, veiny hands was picking through dresses next to me. OMG. carrie bradshaw.
dave chappelle
saw him at the metreon movie theater last night in san francisco. we were going to see ratatouille. he was leaving a movie. chloe did some cheerleader jumps after he walked by.
andy dick
noah will debate me on this one, but i SWEAR it was him. EOS restaurant in san francisco.
brad pitt and jennifer aniston
we were on our way to tiffany's wedding rehearsal in springfield, mo and got the call that they were at bijan's. holly and i made a pit stop to gawk. they both had matching black v-neck sweaters and were smoking cigs. they were tiny. and beautiful.
bono and the edge
this is my most quality celebrity sighting ever. long story short (i love making this a long story). i worked at harvard and bono spoke at a dinner for the center for international development. i snuck up to his dinner table and asked to shake his hand. i told him i had been to the concert the night before, and he said it was not a peak performance...i needed to go the next night. i asked him to pinky swear that i would get tickets. and he pinky swore (thanks for the reminder, ma!). his assistant called me at work the next day and told me to meet her outside the fleet center. zoe and i got to watch the show from the sound tech's booth. FABULOUS. bono (and edge) were both so genuine, kind and not jaded. i was impressed.

noah and i went to the american cathedral in paris for a service. unbeknownst to us, jesse jackson was at the pulpit that day. and we saw him in the dallas airport a few weeks later.

we went to their show, and noah, katy and i ended up on their tour bus. it happened to be my birthday and what a birthday it was.

this is for noah's benefit. i told dave schools i wasn't into widespread panic. i'm not quite sure why i told him that, but he didn't seem offended. in fact, i think it made him more interested in me.

went backstage after their paris show. they were playing the grammy's the next week. after a tequila shot, i told them i could do the beyonce booty shake, and demonstrated. that was embarrassing.....because i can't do the bbs. but they were nice about it.
david rockefeller

i walked outside of my apartment in boston and immediately honed in on this gorgeous golden retriever. without even glancing at the people, i started oohing and ahhing over the dog and was scratching his ears. i asked his name, and the guy said "hunter". i finally looked up and the guy was conan o'brien.

saw her in harvard square when she was the hasty pudding woman of the year.
bruce willis
we were at whiskey park in boston and he (and his nice butt) breezed by a few times. he seemed really drunk, and actually stumbled through our small group. we had to scatter so he wouldn't run into us.
tom brady
whiskey park again. didn't realize who he was at first. i was genuinely excited to see a handsome, well-dressed, tall man. i was going to talk to him, but then the buzz got around that it was tom brady and i realized my chances were pretty slim. i did talk to him and gave him my business card. he never called and was dating tara reid a few weeks later. gross.

the first time noah visited me in boston, we went to this bar called barcode. pedro was there eating dinner. i asked for an autograph for my friend t.j. he asked how to spell t.j. ha. a funny guy.
santino rice
he may not be a celebrity to some, but he sure is to me! a runner-up on project runway season 3, he is a larger than life personality. we saw him at the opening for the vivienne westwood exhibit at the deYoung museum. i was with my mom and sister. we chatted him up for a while, and my mom told him "i only have five tv channels, and even i know who you are". hee hee.
tom ford
sabrina and i were in NYC for work and ate at the uber-hot waverly inn. as i went to the restroom i spied gorgeous tom ford in the dining room. i went back to the restroom fifteen minutes later to check him out again.
oliver hudson
kate hudson's brother and one of joey potter's flames on dawson's creek. he was at a gallery opening for a fashion designer that tammy, molly and i went to in NYC.

we went to a networking event for the wedding industry in LA and wolfgang puck sponsored and catered the event. was not expecting him to be there, but he was - and seemed very nice.
Smokin' Joe Frazier...I know it was him because his body guard made a point of point him out...kind of strange for a body guard...outside Times Square W Hotel in NYC.
Also, the Hulk (original one...), Lou Ferrigno! Earth Wind and Thyme restaurant in Santa Monica.
Some reality TV show contestant and a friend's wedding in Sonoma. Maybe from one of the Bacheolor shows? I dunno, I never watch.
I once stayed in John Travolta's favorite room in a B&B in Sonoma County...apparently while filming Phenomenon...not a sighting, but what the heck.

Wow, you seem really glamorous. The only famous people I've met were Everclear, and they're not even popular anymore. But one of the guys did try to pick me up (sighhh... the ugly one)
Totally jealous of your U2 story. And Brad Pitt is tiny? Isn't he like 6'1"? Maybe that's tiny to you? I like to think it's not tiny as that's also my height (though it's not terribly tall, taller than average).
OMG, what an exciting life you lead. My biggest are: Jimmy Carter, in an airport; Tom Landry in an airport; and I sold toilets to Alvin Adams (an old Phx. Suns player) and Larry Mahan (an old world champ cowboy).
However, like I was at the Spfd. airport once and like this really like rude woman came up to the counter where I was standing and like interrupted me and the airplane lady and like asked if we had seen Brad and Gwyneth because they were supposed to be flying in real soon that day and she, the rude lady not the plane lady, was a reporter for, OMG, People Magazine. And, like you could tell it was true because she had lots of cameras and an ugly khaki vest with lost of pockets for film and stuff. And, like the plane lady just IGNORED her, can you believe it, she just talked to me and not the People Mag lady. It was really cool!!

Wow! I did not know that you had seen all those celebs. We saw John Goodman in the Tampa airport and Ben Stein in the Dallas Airport. We also saw one of the girls from the Facts of life(I think her name on the show was Totie)I saw her in a restuarant in Springfield. We also were on the same plane with the gent who interviews authors on C Span..Boy your list is so much more exciting.
Once I partied with the Digital Underground. They kind of sucked. One was gettin' his freak of the industry on with some honey on the balcony and the other was pouring beer on my passed out friend. And they were in OUR suite. Assholes.
Oh, and to keep with that, Kid and Play. What is it with me and the rappers?
I'll throw Interpol in there as well so people don't think I am only listen to rap music.
