Introduction
We paid $250,000,000 for the spectacle, and he's produced a complete package. (Not that sort of package. But give "W" magazine a few more photo shoots and he'll get there.)
1
Shirtless Interviews
Nothing cements the female fan interest in soccer like a bit o' the old finely-sculpted, glistening chest as post-match pitch-side television interview attire. It takes a true athletics professional to understand the value of initiating strip-off before the locker room's in sight. Thankfully, this is one insight most professional bowlers do not possess.

"F" as "TH"
A good East London cockney is a thing of beauty. The more he speaks, the less his consonant pronunciation sounds remotely like the English language. But oi it's a cute fing to 'ear, fanks very much.
3
Mandatory Sleeves
It could be 200 degrees (Fahrenheit, Celsius would just be silly) on the field and Becks would still be sporting long sleeves under that captain's arm band. It all boils down to superstition, and as long as "Weekly World News" remains in circulation there's proof we Americans love the discovery of baffling superstitious customs.

Applaud Me Applauding You Applauding Me
Whether he’s on the full ninety or out on substitution, the gracious gent from the mother country never fails to depart the pitch with appreciative clapping for the fans who may or may not have been booing him viciously during every corner kick. When 66,000+ pack the seats at Giants Stadium for a soccer game, you know there’s a superstar in play. Making the fans feel appreciated pleases not only them, but everyone who stands to gain from their return the next time Galaxy decides to play in a venue outrageously unsuited for soccer.

The Real Reason We Paid Him the Big Bucks
All kidding aside, the man’s a powerhouse player who’ll revolutionize the sport in the USA. For us soccer nuts, that’s a brilliant thing. He has his eye on the dual prize of improving a team that—let’s call a spade a spade—could use improvement, and turning heads in the direction of a sport that’s been all too long neglected. He seems like a kind bloke with a good head on his shoulders despite the constant fuss…and trust me, we’d feel a lot less satisfied forking over a quarter of a bill to a total diva. Tip of my hat to our quirky Becks; I loved him everywhere else and I love him even more on American soil.
is hotness a quirk? if so, that's my number 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5.
