Introduction
This is on a ratty scrap of paper taped to my computer.
I don't remember where it came from, but
I find it helpful when trying to write anything.
1
Details
Details make a clearer picture. Include enough to paint a verbal picture.

2
Concise
BUT, unnecessary or too many details add chaos and confuse a thought.

3
Plain speaking
Couldyoutellmethatonemoretime??????
4
Own style
You can travel further if the shoe is a comfortable fit....or if you have fun wearing it.

I'm always grateful for advice from a master:)
#2 is my biggest problem; no, not potty #2! the number 2 on this list, I always get all dragged down in too many details and facets, trying to cram in all of the information, even if it doesn't really add to the point or the story. Sometimes, I get carried away thinking the more I put in the better the outcome and that just is n't always the case. See, I should put concise on my computer too, so I don't go on and on and add extra layers that aren't really critical to the bottom line. Because, maybe then, I would remember to keep it simple and include just the necessary parts without adding too much information; my daughter says I am the queen of too much information, I told her it is good to be the queen of something. But, I digress, the problem is it's difficult to know when the next words typed are going to be more than necessary, know what I mean? How can someone determine if this part of the story or list or whatever is beneficial to the point, or not. I mean how can you really tell? I'm just sayin...
