Introduction
The following, in no particular order, are the writers that I am completely obsessed with. I can't get enough of their writing. They're my drug.
1
Kurt Vonnegut
My favorite work: "Wampeters, Foma and Granfalloons" and "Bagombo Snuff Box" - both collections of essays and short stories.

2
Chuck Palahniuk
My favorite work: "Invisible Monsters" - the end was like a hit to the chest with a large concrete block.

3
Laurie Notaro
My favorite work: "We Thought You Would Be Prettier: True Tales of the Dorkiest Girl Alive" - humorous essays. Her debut novel "There's a (Slight) Chance I Might Be Going to Hell: A Novel of Sewer Pipes, Pageant Queens, and Big Trouble" is really good, too.

4
Christopher Moore
My favorite work: "Lamb" - an instant classic. This guy has such an absurd and healthy sense of humor...I love it!!
5
Neil Gaiman
My favorite work: "Fragile Things: Short Fictions and Wonders" and "Anansi Boys: A Novel". I never thought I'd enjoy science fiction/fantasy, but this guy leaves me craving more.

6
Chuck Klosterman
My favorite work: "Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs: A Low Culture Manifesto"

7
David Sedaris
My favorite work: "Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim"
