The Memoirs of Cleopatra by Margaret George

 
Just finished this, really long, detailed, historically accurate account of Cleopatra. Historical fiction.
 
 

The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory

 
Looooved it. Couldn't put it down.
 
 

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

 
I've read this book a few times now, really significant to me, and many others. Would def recommend it!

Love this one. Haven't read it in quite some time, should read it again. Quirky & well written.

Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger

 
I still have my dad's old copy from when he was in school, love this book, will always be one of my favorites. A definite classic.
 
 

Siddhartha by Herman Hesse

 
Herman Hesse is an amazing writer, I love his books, this one in particular.
 
 

Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe

 
One of my favorite books from school.
 
 

Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer

 
I loved this book but it still freaks me out a bit when I think about it, chilling tale!
 
 

Bel Canto by Ann Patchett

 
What a book, really enjoyed it. Interesting plot line.
 
 

Over the Edge of the World: Magellan's Terrifying Circumnavigation of the Globe by Laurence Bergreen

 
Based on logs written throughout the journey and the accounts given by the surviving sailors after returning home. Really fascinating!

Great list, it will go into my OML notebook. Cleopatra by Margaret George is a good call. I will read it again some day, when I have a lot of time. I've read all of Margaret George's books and they are all good.

I liked Angels and Demons much better than Da Vinci Code, another good call. 5 stars from me - thanks.
