Cars I've owned

This was one cherry car. Dodger Metalic Blue with Black on hood. Functional hood scoop, four on the floor, cherry bomb mufflers, fast, cool and hot. Need I say more. Windows open and music blaring. That was the life. Cruised at 100 on the open highway in the California desert and maybe it could have gone more. No regulators back then. It was great till it was taken and blown up on a speedway.

This car followed my Mustang. It was small, tinty, bright green apple and my Dad co-signed. It cost a mere $1600.00 which was a lot back in the days when dinosaurs roamed the earth. It was mine and no one was taking it away, then I married and he thought I needed a secure, bigger car.

What a trip. Two front seats and a playpen in the back. Served many years, through two children, camping, new transmission and finally retired her when heat was coming through the floor boards.

Not sure of the year, but it was big, two door, comfortable, quiet ride and a great car.

It replaced the Mercury Marquee. What a downsizing, but what a great car. Lasted 10 years, easy on the gas and wallet, until the reverse went out two days before Christmas. Cost to replace was the value of the car. Had to make a choice to drive forward and always park so I wouldn't have to go in reverse or get something else. Sold it and moved on.

I put on my Christmas list just as a joke, a hunter green SUV with tan interior, sun roof, CD player, air and automatice 4 wheel drive. Little did I know that two days before Christmas, my Honda Accord reverse would go out and that I would be frantically searching for a new vehicle. On Christmas Eve, I got my vehicle from my Christmas list. Thanks Mom.
