Introduction

A friend of mine carves wood burl's and exotic pieces. It is one of his passions. When he carves, he let's the wood tell dictate the outcome of the piece. He agreed to let me post some pictures of his work hoping to get your opinion, good, bad or otherwise.

I have been trying to convince him to let me set up a website for his work to share with people and even possibly sell a few pieces. He is leery of the internet and doesn't want me to waste my time for nothing.

All carvings are done by hand right down to the sanding.

Thanks for your time everybody, enjoy :)

(the titles are mine, I had to call em' something!)

I think they're beautiful, and very original. Depending on the price, I would probably buy one. Setting up a site to sell these would not be a waste of his, or your, time.

These pieces show wonderful craftmanship and creativity. The spiral bowl is my favorite. Your friend has an obvious talent for this type of work, and I think you should continue to encourage him to promote and sell his art through a website or any other venue available to him.

Well, I'll just ditto the above two comments.
I absolutely love the first one and agree that I would purchase something if it were affordable.

I looked at a few "natural wood art" sites. These are definitely nicer.
