Introduction
This time of year....Critters come into the house through every possible means.
I am leaving the raccoons off of this list as ya'll know about that action.
Problem #1 - Kingsbrae Gardens
My next door neighbor to the north, and the closest. When they built that garden interesting critters started showing up.

As nice as it is.... it's not at times.

Yellowjackets ie: Hornets
With all of the flowers comes the freaking wasps. Not many honey bee's.....all wasps. And LOTS of them.

Ladybugs
My god.... How could a lady bug be a problem you ask? When there is a thousand of them.... that's how. I wish I was kidding. Even on warm days in the summer, a few will come out of their slumber to buzz around the garbage room for a while. They are EVERYWHERE!!
This is DIRECTLY related to the gardens next door. Before them... rarely a ladybug.

Moths
Leave the door open for 2 seconds and a dozen moths are now fluttering around every light inside the house.

Deer
No See Um's

House flies
Damn things.

O.K., what the hell...a raccoon pic.
Not even an original raccoon pic.... what a slacker I am :)

Note the smile on the dog's face; that raccoon must be hung.
I feel your pain. Mrs. Hippie and I lived in the woods in Minnesota with two babies for 363 days in 1978. We had all of the above, plus box elder bugs, lizards, snakes, gnats so thick you couldn't breathe, and mosquitos the size of eagles. Ah, the great North.

We get those pesky ladybugs every year, and we don't even live near any gardens. They swarm around the windows and on the siding of the house. They get in everywhere. I have to get the attachment for the vacuum cleaner to suck their crunchy little bodies up around the windows on the inside---GROSS! LOL They are big time pests! We have trouble with the moths sometimes too.
Those gardens by you look really beautiful though. :)
